“Perfect! I know it is an overused word but in this case it is truly the best word! I could also use, amazing, fabulous and pure bliss…you get the idea. We were just married at the Gables Inn and we couldn’t be happier! The wedding party stayed at the Inn and were treated like family. The inn itself is lovely and incredibly comfortable. The food is mouthwatering and if that wasn’t enough, the inn keepers Pam & Mike couldn’t be more accommodating & charming if they tried! Everything is just spot on from the homemade scones, to the wine and cheese hour by the wine cellar in the picturesque backyard. Our guests were gushing with compliments. It was an amazing place for a wedding, and it would be the perfect place for a weekend getaway. In short, we can't wait to go back!” Sausalito, CA

“I stayed at The Gables for a wedding weekend. I didn't want to leave at all. First of all, Mike and Pam were amazing hosts. They were kind, helpful, and friendly. I felt like I was at home. The food was to die for. I am still dreaming about the pecan crusted caramelized french toast and the wine and cheese omelet. It was so good! Our room (The Library) was great. I slept great. The bathroom was big and I had no trouble getting read and having room. The grounds are beautiful, and the location is great. If you are in Santa Rosa - this is the place to stay. "Absolutely, please, please use whatever photos you wish for the site.  We're so glad to do that!  Especially, in the case of any other bride looking to make her wedding day special.  The only regret I have is that we didn't get a photo of you on the floor ironing the wrinkles out of my train!!!!  That was the perfect example of the hospitality we received!  Nothing short of perfect!"

"Everything about The Gables is Happy, Luxurious and at the same time, "Down to Earth". The room was Great, the bed was firm, the decoration and appointments were the Finest. Breakfast was delicious and a Celebration of Life. It set us up for a whole day of Adventuring. The Hosts are Loving and Personal, taking care that Every Guest is made to feel Special. The nights were Quiet and the sleep was Quality. We really can't recommend these accommodations highly enough! Why pay more, to get less, in a room in Napa Valley. "We have had the pleasure of staying with Pam & Mike for the past 6 years while visiting our daughter, who attends SSU. Each stay has been wonderful- delicious food, good wine, friendly guests and Pam & Mike! This past weekend we celebrated our daughter's graduation and our family joined us by staying at the inn. "If visiting Sonoma Wine Country, The Gables Inn in Santa Rosa is a GEM. The owners Pam and Mike are wonderful, breakfasts are beyond most B+B's, so creatively executed and very generous. Pam, a top notch home chef, bakes cookies every day for guests to go with their mid-afternoon tea or coffee. She also provides wonderful cheeses and wines during some evenings overlooking the beautiful wine country hills. We stayed in their "cottage" which is a private building, beautifully decorated,emaculate and spacious with your own private parking area. They have plenty of information available and will help you make evening dinner plans or any other arrrangments that may require added assistance. Breathtaking views, wonderful food and beautiful hosts. What more could one ask for. It all begs for a return trip soon." - Stayed July 2011, traveled as a couple

"Here is how it went for us. We check into this beautiful Victorian Mansion, history goes back to gold rush days. Mike tours us around and helps us pick a restaurant that was great. The place looks great, just as advertised on their web-site. Coffee is available very early. At 9AM, you enjoy a fabulous breakfast prepared by Pam, sharing the table with the other guests, reliving the great day before and talking about the day ahead. Mike and Pam help you plan your day. You tour the wineries and have a great lunch. Pam and Mike host the guests for wine and cheese on Friday and Saturday night and you talk about your day and get some new ideas for tomorrow. Then you go to a dinner at a great restaurant, once again helped in your selection by Pam and Mike. You literally don't have to do anything but show up at the Gables Inn. You don't need to pre-plan the wineries or the restaurants. You get help with everything and and you get to stay at a beautiful house ... you feel like your the rich pampered owner who build the place during the California gold rush, except modernized with all the amenities. “My husband and I would certainly stay here again, and we highly recommend the inn. It is centrally located in Sonoma, and I enjoyed easy day trips to Armstrong State Park (redwoods), Dry Creek Valley and Lake Sonoma, the beach towns of Jenner and Bodega Bay, Sonoma, Healdsburg and many, many scenic wineries.
